I just want to say that Coaching Actuaries was a HUGE help in achieving my passing score for Exam P/1. I have failed this exam 3 times. Going in to my fourth try, I was ready to give up. I was trying anything to pass. I used Coaching Actuaries every single day for almost 3 months, and I passed my exam a few days ago. I failed my first attempt of 1/P with a 4. I understood the concepts, but the practice exams I was doing were either too easy or too hard. One week ago today I passed my first actuarial exam (SOA Exam P). This was my fifth attempt! What made the difference for me not failing this time around was the ADAPT software. I used it close to everyday for two months in preparation for this test and it was awesome. The practice exam questions were very similar to what I was tested on and I was familiar with every type of problem. I liked how the product gave suggested topic quizzes after each practice exam if I struggled with a certain type of problem. This really helped me see which areas I was weak in so I knew to devote more time to getting better at those type of problems. I would recommend ADAPT to anyone studying for an actuarial exam. Adapt is a very useful study tool. It allows you to rank yourself on how much you know, similarly to what you would
score on the actual exam. I have used adapt for P and FM and both of my earned ranks were close to my grade for

I recently sat for MFE and used your website for additional study questions. This was not my first sitting and I have previously used ASM and Actuarial Brew. I absolutely loved using this website. The ability to choose more difficult questions and concentrate on problem areas was invaluable. The ability to use the Normal Distribution calculator prior to the exam was also a tremendous help. I am pretty sure I passed the exam. I will definately use this site in the future.

The ADAPT program I used was wonderful. Starting off I could not do well in the exams at all. I customized my exams so that it could start off at a very low difficulty. That gave me confidence while the difficulty gradually increased and while I adapted to it. I used one manual for the MLC exam and I truly regretted wasting my time on that manual since the material and practice problems in the book were very elementary. ADAPT uses ASM style problems and released SOA problems to train me for the real exam. I was able to pass it on my first sitting... The most important aspect of it was the grading level that indicates and motivates the level of the user. Thank you very much!

Many resources, like ASM, are great in that they ask questions considerably harder than the average exam question. That's great in a way, but it can make you feel discouraged, especially if you are trying to finish the practice exams in three hours. I feel like ADAPT questions for MLC provided a good level of difficulty for actually measuring likely exam performance. I thought the actual exam was pretty similar in difficulty to the ADAPT questions.
